The Remote Sensing and GeoAnalysis Unit at the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) conducts research at the intersection of satellite technology, geographic analysis, and agricultural science. The Unit applies remote sensing data to land use monitoring, crop assessment, environmental change detection, and natural disaster risk management — delivering insights that support sustainable land management and rural development policy. As an Institutional member, AUA brings specialised geospatial and agri-environmental expertise to the Pleiades ecosystem.
Connect with MemberThe AUA Remote Sensing Unit develops methodologies and analytical tools for processing satellite imagery and geospatial data in agricultural and environmental contexts. Their research focuses on crop monitoring, soil analysis, land cover classification, and the detection of environmental changes — providing public authorities and land managers with the spatial intelligence needed for evidence-based decisions.
