Port operations & maritime infrastructure
Greece's busiest passenger port, connecting Europe and the Mediterranean.
The Port of Patras Authority (OLPA) manages and operates the Port of Patras, one of the largest and busiest passenger ports in Greece and the Mediterranean — serving as a major gateway for trade, tourism, and mobility between Greece, Italy, and beyond. As the host institution for the Patras Science Park, OLPA is a foundational partner in the local innovation ecosystem. As an Institutional member, OLPA brings strategic infrastructure and public authority perspective to the Pleiades network.
Connect with MemberOLPA plans, develops, and operates the Port of Patras infrastructure — encompassing passenger terminals, cargo facilities, ro-ro operations, and maritime services for millions of travellers and tonnes of freight each year. The port serves as a critical logistics node for Western Greece and the broader Adriatic-Ionian corridor, with ongoing investments in capacity expansion, modernisation, and environmental sustainability.
OLPA is also a key enabler of regional innovation, hosting the Patras Science Park within the port zone — creating a unique environment where technology companies, research institutions, and public infrastructure coexist and collaborate. The port's interest in smart logistics, sustainable operations, and digital port management makes it a natural partner for smart city and innovation ecosystem initiatives.
