PalaioFaliro.Lab was established through a strategic collaboration between the Municipality of Palaio Faliro and the Pleiades Innovation Ecosystem, creating a new model for local development based on innovation, technology, and co-creation.

Located at the heart of the Athenian Riviera, the municipality combines strong urban infrastructure, cultural heritage, and a dynamic local community — creating the ideal environment to test and implement solutions at city scale.

The lab operates as a real-world platform where public services, businesses, academia, and citizens work together to design, test, and deploy solutions that improve everyday life.

    StudentX meets students where they are: gamified learning, personalised study plans, and real tools for thinking about the cities they’ll inherit. It brings smart waste management into Greek schools tailored for every age group, from elementary through to high school.

  2. AI-Powered Waste Management

    Artificial intelligence systems optimize waste collection routes and monitor waste composition, reducing operational costs, emissions, and improving city cleanliness.

  3. Smart Civil Protection & Safety Systems

    AI and IoT-enabled systems detect risks in real time, improving safety through automated alerts and incident prevention across urban infrastructure.

  4. Drone Infrastructure (Droneport)

    Development of a permanent drone infrastructure enabling automated missions for monitoring, logistics, emergency response, and environmental management.

  5. Digital Citizen Card (CivicPass)

    A digital identity platform enabling access to municipal services, local business benefits, and participation in the local economy.
