Background
Spiros trained as an electrical and computer engineer and went on to build his career across maritime tech startups, enterprise IT consulting in Luxembourg, and national advisory roles in research and innovation policy. He has consistently worked at the edge of what organisations are willing to try — and pushed them further. His postgraduate work in Innovation and Design Thinking, in collaboration with MIT Sloan and Columbia Business School, formalised an instinct he had long practised: that how you design a system shapes everything it becomes.
At Pleiades
As Managing Director, Spiros is the ecosystem's chief architect. He sets the strategic direction, manages key partnerships, and ensures Pleiades operates with the agility of a startup and the credibility of an institution. His guiding conviction is that innovation ecosystems must be designed — not just assembled — and that design intent is what separates a network that grows from one that stagnates.
