A shared model for island development

IdeaKos.Lab was established through a strategic collaboration between the Municipality of Kos, the Development Organization K.O.A.N., and the Pleiades Innovation Ecosystem, creating an innovation hub for the islands of Kos, Astypalea, and Nisyros.

The lab responds to the unique challenges of island regions — including geographic isolation, limited resources, environmental pressures, and strong dependence on tourism — by combining local needs with global expertise and innovation practices.

Operating as a center for collaboration, research, and implementation, IdeaKos.Lab brings together public sector, academia, businesses, and local communities to design and deploy solutions that support sustainable growth across multiple islands.
