The Municipality of Chalki, the Development Company “Porphyra Chalki,” and the Pleiades IoT Innovation Cluster signed a Memorandum of Cooperation for the development of the Chalki.Lab Innovation Center, aimed at further accelerating and advancing the implementation of a range of innovative actions on the remote island.
The pioneering Municipality of Chalki in energy transition, having achieved complete coverage of its energy needs from renewable energy sources, and with the implementation of a series of innovative projects based on new technologies, collaborates with the Pleiades IoT Innovation Cluster to create the Innovation Center. Chalki.Lab will strengthen Chalki’s efforts in a more structured way, aiming to improve both the internal operations of the Municipality and the provision of services to the island’s residents and visitors.

Leveraging the ecosystemic approach and collaboration, the implementation of Chalki.Lab will focus on the use of research, data transparency, the development of best practices and use cases, and expertise.
Moreover, the participation of the Development Company of the Municipality of Chalki ensures flexibility in the design and implementation of actions.
